
Ricardo Gosalbo Bono
Professor
Ricardo Gosalbo Bono is a Guest Professor in International and Comparative Law for the LLM in International and European Law programme of the Brussels School of Governance. He holds a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Valencia and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Cambridge University. He has been the Director of the External Relations Team at the Legal Service of the Council of the European Union since 1998. Previously, he served as Legal Advisor at the Legal Service of the European Commission (1988-1998) and as Legal Advisor at the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations in New York (1982-1988).
Prof. Gosalbo Bono is also an LL.M. Professor at the Europa-Kolleg Hamburg (Germany), Profesor asociado at the University of Valencia and part-time Professor of European Union Law at the International University "Menéndez y Pelayo" (1999 to date). In addition, he is an Honorary Professor of International Trade Law at the University of Barcelona (2002 - to date), former Visiting Professor of European Union Law at the University of Cambridge (1993-1994) and has lectured at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pittsburgh, the École nationale d'administration (ENA) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Salamanca.
He is a Member of the Spanish Bar, was admitted to the Middle Temple Inn of Court, England, Honorary Member of the Mount Vermont Bar Association in New York, Member of the Advisory Board to the ReConFort Project on Comparative Constitutional Legal History of the University of Passau, Member of the Asociación Española de Derecho Internacional and Member of the Société de législation comparée. His publications include numerous law book chapters and articles in several law journals.
