
Herbert Zapf
Adjunct Professor
Herbert-Michael Zapf is an Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management at Brussels School of Governance and Professor of European Markets and Strategic Management at the Brest Business School (BBS) in France. He studied Economics, Political Science, Development Economics and Management at the universities of Mannheim and Hamburg, the London School of Economics and the University Paris-IX Dauphine (Master) and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Kassel (Germany). Before and during his academic activities, Herbert-Michael headed the International Post Corporation (IPC) in Brussels as CEO (2006-16), was Managing Director at Deutsche Post Global Mail (2000-06), Executive Vice President International Mail Business and Divisional Board member of Deutsche Post DHL (1999-2006). Furthermore, he worked as consultant at DETECON and the United Nations (ILO), as researcher at the German Development Institute in Berlin, and as freelance Journalist.
His research interests are in the areas of network industries, market failure, behavioural economics, and circular economy.
