From 2019-2020, she was seconded to Tilburg University as Co-coordinator of the Master in Criminal Justice and Victimology MsC. She has published in various international journals and collected volumes.

At the Brussels School of Governance, she convenes the International and European Law Bachelor Thesis courses. Her main research interests lie in human trafficking, labour exploitation, migration and fundamental rights. Her current postdoctoral research investigates the normalisation of exploitation in the labour market and the need to develop a policy to prevent and combat exploitation that goes beyond criminal law. This work builds on her doctoral research which, in the absence of a definition of exploitation in the human trafficking definition, conceptualised labour exploitation using a cross-fertilisation of political theory and comparative legal analysis of criminal cases in Belgium and England and Wales.
