Ambroos Verwee

Ambroos Verwee is a PhD Researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the UC Louvain under supervision of Jonas Lefevere (VUB) and Pierre Baudewyns (UCL). He obtained a Master’s degree in political science at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a Master’s degree in sociology at the KU Leuven.

Currently, Ambroos is part of the NOTLIKEUS-project. The project studies horizontal (between citizens) and vertical (between citizens and politicians) perceptions of differentness and their effect on political polarization. Ambroos’ main research interests are political behavior, stereotypes, social media, and political polarization.
