Less than two months before the opening of the Olympic Games in Tokyo (July 23 - August 8), Japan extended its state of emergency until June 20. A large majority of the Japanese want to cancel the Olympics due to the epidemic situation, but the Suga government and the International Olympic Committee seem unwilling to back down.
